Sunday Rides generally leave from The Bakehouse Cafe, Moore St, Leichhardt (just down from Balmain Rd, towards Annandale) at 830 am unless otherwise stated. Meet earlier for a pre-ride coffee. Two day or longer rides in the country will meet as arranged at stations or for car pooling.
JOIN LBUG- New members welcome. Membership $10 annually. Best way to join is to come on a ride and get signed up by the ride leader, or get our BSB and Account numbers from the membership page on Ning and transfer the money online. Under 16's must be with adult. We aim to build up road skills and confidence through the year. Rides are of varying length and difficulty. You can shorten rides by catching trains on the return leg in some cases.
We are a touring and leisure group of mixed age and ability, not a racing group, ( many riders start off as beginners but progress to the longer rides) . All riders are encouraged to help with keeping the group together, taking turns as "Tail-end Charlies" or pointing the way, and generally encouraging new cyclists.
A note on Insurance- If you are a member of BicycleNSW. you are insured for any injury you cause to other people (including other cyclists) or damage to their property when riding. You also get very reasonable personal injury insurance through BNSW - now included in the membership.
Rides and dates may change (esp two day touring rides) so check before the day on the email list, contact the leader or phone 9810 3706.
